Airmed International Flight School

Airmed International Flight has been training commercial pilots for more than 19 years under the JAA (Joint Aviation Authorities) JAR-FCL rules. This organisation is the maximum governing body formed by 36 countries throughout Europe

AIRMED was the first School in Europe to hold the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certificate for Air Transport Pilots and Cabin Attendant training.

Located just 10 minutes from Valencia city centre at an International Airport our school offers important advantages to students who can carry out their practical training in safety and comfort. The constant flow of worldwide commercial air traffic – passengers, cargo, regional and private – is also a factor of great importance, allowing the students to become familiar with the environment of their future profession right from the start. As it is a main Terminal Airport Valencia is equipped with all the necessary radio aids for all types of flying during both the day and at night in all weather conditions.

Wonderful weather is one of Airmed’s main advantages. The climate in this part of the Mediterranean is excellent (80%-90% days of sunshine per year) allowing for a greater number of flying hours. This means that Airmed students can make full use of the time available so as to finish their Airline Transport Pilot’s Course in just 14 months

By complying with all the European Joint Aviation Requirements the school is authorised to operate as an FTO (Flying Training Organization) approved by the Civil Aviation Authorities (DGAC – Ministerio de Fomento) and is not only a member of AEFA (Agrupación de Escuelas de Formación Aeronáutica/Flying Training Schools’ Group), but also EAAPS (European Association of Airline Pilots Schools).

STUDENTS ACCOMMODATION

AIRMED gives you the possibility of sharing apartments with other students in Manises, 2 km from the school.
Housing is managed by AIRMED personnel so that all the students’ requirements for comfort along with any services they may need are taken care of.
The apartments are completely furnished and offer a kitchen, bathrooms, living room and 3 single rooms.

Manises is on the outskirts of Valencia just 5 km from the city limits next to the airport and there are frequent connections with the downtown area and the beach thanks to the new UNDERGROUND line taking just 15 minutes. There is also a regular bus service along with an excellent well served taxi route.
There are about 12,000 inhabitants in the town of Manises and it is known worldwide for its important pottery industry. There are plenty of convenient shops and facilities that the students can make use of during their stay.

INTERNATIONAL POSITION

AIRMED offers its service throughout the world. Our students come from all over Europe (The Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Ireland, France, Italy and Portugal), and some from South America and the Middle East too.
About 40% of the students come from Spain and the other 60% come from around the Globe.
